Female entrepreneurs to get advice and money for promising ideas,  Budget announcement, March 2008

A wide-ranging campaign to encourage more women to set up their own businesses was revealed in yesterday's Budget.

Women, particularly mothers, will be targeted with advice on how to run a firm, pitch for bank loans and prepare business plans.

A new £25 million fund, including £12.5 million of Government money, will be handed out to women with a good idea, but no money to do anything about it.

But the number of women who will be benefit from the new fund could be tiny.So reported by Becky Barrow Daily Mail Business correspondent. Women of Influence will be there to make sure more than a tiny amount get help .
