Vivimos con mucha basura
We live amongst so much rubbish
Directed by Ediht Karol Chavez & Wenddy Dela Cruz
Duration: 10 Mins
Locations: Comunidades Nativas Impitato Cascada and San Pascual
Director’s Note
“The river is no longer the same. Fish are in short supply. We saw the Perené river that passes through the Impitato Cascada community; we watched it flow. That river goes on to reach Atalaya. The message we want to convey is that we must think about future generations. In Atalaya, they drink water from the river, but it is contaminated.”
”Many years ago, in my community of San Pascual, and other communities such as Impitato Cascada, etc. the whole river was clean, there were many fish. All the people cooked with water from the river, they drank the water from the river. Now that the years have passed, the river is polluted, there is a shortage of fish and the generations are increasing. What is being done in the community is to farm fish to eat naturally.”
